17.6.2019 | Forskningsprojektet Terroristinen väkivalta globaalina mediatapahtumana − kohti uutta tutkimusmallia tutkimushankkeessa (HYTE) finansieras av Finlands Akademi och undersöker hur terroristiskt våld syns i medierna och hur terroranslag, d.v.s. terroristiska mediehändelser, får publicitet. Forskningsgruppen undersöker terroristiska mediehändelser i dagens mångfacetterade, d.v.s. hybrida, medielandskap.

26.11.2020 | Försvarshögskolan deltar i forskningsprojektet Försörjningsberedskap inom information i en komplex omgivning (IRWIN), som har fått två miljoner euro i finansiering av Finlands Akademi. I det treåriga projektet deltar förutom Försvarshögskolan även Vasa universitet, Östra Finlands universitet och Yrkeshögskolan Laurea. Projektet leds av Vasa universitets prorektor, professor Annukka Jokipii.

Developing a New Model for the Study of Global Media Events of Terrorist Violence (HYTE), looks at how terrorist violence is visible in the media, and how terror attacks, or terrorist media events gain publicity. The research group looks at terrorist media events in the current multi-faceted, i.e. hybrid, media environment.
