Postgraduate Programme

The Postgraduate Programme is under the command of the Rector of the National Defence University and it is responsible for the General Staff Officer Course and its execution.

It is also responsible for the planning, execution and development of the Senior Command Course, the Senior Staff Officer Course and the Chief of branch course.

The most important task of the Postgraduate Programme is to manage the General Staff Officer Course. Additionally, it prepares to execute its assigned tasks under emergency conditions by participating in planning and training exercises for emergency conditions.

The specific responsibility of the Postgraduate Programme is to educate and train General Staff Officer Students to become General Staff Officers who have internalised the military behaviour and norms in order to serve their country.

The Postgraduate Programme is responsible for the planning, execution and development of the General Staff Officer Course and of the other courses it organises. The aforementioned work is done together with the Defence Command, the Border Guard, the departments and programmes of the National Defence University and with the Border and Coast Guard Academy.
