Department of Academic Affairs

The Department of Academic Affairs is under the command of the Vice Rector and its responsibilities include recruitment of students for officer training, preparing the selections and the overall development of teaching in cooperation with the programmes and departments.

The National Defence University's Chief of Training and Education is the Chief of the Department.

The Department of Academic Affairs is responsible for managing, guiding, supporting and developing the studies administration and student services, including the processes and systems involved, related to the education provided by the National Defence University.  The Department of Academic Affairs guides and maintains the cooperation pursued by the National Defence University regarding studies administration and support for instruction with universities and educational institutions not part of the Defence Forces, and networks and other authorities.

The Department answers for the preparation and carrying out of the NDU’s student selections, and for national recruitment for officer training positions in cooperation with the Defence Command Personnel and Training Divisions, and other NDU functional units.
