Visiting Finnish National Defence University

According to our strategy, we strive to build new networks and partnerships both nationally and internationally. On this page you can find practical information and guidelines, if you are interested in visiting us.

Requests for visits

All governmental visitors are to go through the request for visit (RFV) process adviced by your respective embassy.

We require minimum of 3 months notice for visits. It is recommended that you contact us at least 5 months before, so we can ensure the dates you wish. Spring time is especially busy and we cannot guarantee a visit on short notice. For Jan-May visits, the request should be sent before the end of the year.

If you have an intent to visit FNDU, please send email to [email protected]. Add to your request the following details

  • Visiting organisation Purpose of the visit
  • Desired topics, interests of guests
  • Desired dates of the visit
  • Point of Contact
  • Name

We respect sustainability and try to reduce the consumption of natural resources. Therefore we hope, that the normal gift will be a coin or similar small object. For frequent connections we appreciate a plaque dedicated to FNDU.
