The Finnish National Defence University will organise the tenth international conference of the International Society of Military Sciences (ISMS) from 13 to 29 October 2020. The theme of the conference is “Military Sciences vs. Open Sciences”.
The theme is intended to encourage researchers to give thought to the tensions between military sciences and open science and research. The goal of the conference is to offer a broad presentation of academic research in military sciences and to promote the related international networking.
The conference will take place fully in virtual format, and the working language will be English. The conference will be divided in two phases. During the first phase, from 13 to 26 October 2020, the participants will be able to review the papers of their working group at their own pace, and to comment on them in the conference’s online workspace. The second phase of the conference will take place from 27 to 29 October 2020. It will consist of real-time work in working groups and plenary lectures.
