Approaches to Protection of Civilians in NATO and UN Peace Operations will be held from 30OCT-10NOV 2023. The course is designed specifically to bring together the world's two major alliances, NATO and the UN, to exchange views, teach and share best practices for the Protection of Civilians in an integrated environment. The aim of the NATO and UN Approaches to the Protection of Civilians course is to develop a practical understanding among civilian and military participants of the role of the UN and NATO as protection actors in operations. The course focuses on how to protect civilians from threats of physical violence, including harm from their own actions.
